It will find you out!!!

I chanced on an old write up of mine. The kind that makes you pause and consider your actions. It meant a lot to me then and it still does. I hope you enjoy this one.

It wasn’t my kind of movie. Not the kind that should keep me up till midnight. But there I was glued to the TV. Something about the movie just wouldn’t let me sleep. So many things were running through my mind as I watched.  Am I going to pay for all my sins right here on earth? Even after confessing them and sincerely repenting of some. This guy in the movie had killed another, lost his memory and was now a completely different person. I should say a good person now..but our past always have a silly way of creeping up on us. By some funny means, he reads a book written about his past by himself and now he stares at his horrible past. He tells his family about it and then walks to the police to report himself. He accepts his crime and goes to jail for some sin he committed over 15 years.

How prepared are we to pay for some sins we committed years ago? Let’s forget about the Jesus factor and His faithfulness in forgiving sins for a sec. You know what they say about committing the sin of fornication and getting pregnant. Your sins of fornication will be forgiven but the consequence of shame – you would have to face. That’s what I am talking about. David’s punishment for committing adultery and murder. Some women never forgetting about that baby they aborted. A man fearing his daughter can be raped because he did same to another. Let’s have it at the back of our minds that whatever sin we commit will be forgiven by God if we confess but the consequences there after. I’m not the one saying it. I found it in the Bible. You can check it out for yourself. Numbers 32:23B. AND BE SURE YOUR SIN WILL FIND YOU OUT.

However, we cannot forget about the Jesus factor and his faithfulness to forgive, carrying it all on the cross. His Grace abound and His love endures forever. But my dear, should we continue to sin because grace abounds??. Do not be deceived. God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Luke 12:2. There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed. God help us all.
